JAY-ROCK was raised by his mother in the Nickerson Gardens housing projects.
At an early age he was sat down and told that he was going to have to find a way to make his own money, so he tried a few nine to fives, “but it just wasn’t right” - then he found the rap game.
In the early years, Jay would stay after church with a relative and develop his musical talents.
“Besides basketball and football I always had a thing for music.”
JAY-ROCK has been known as a young hustler on the West Coast rap scene for a decade.
JAY-ROCK is scheduled to release his full length industry supported studio album on Warner Brothers Records in late 2005.
